FAQ
About Our Gemstones & Rare Earth Treasures
What makes Wyoming gemstones special?
Wyoming gemstones come from ancient geological formations in the Wyoming Craton, some of the oldest rock formations in North America. These unique conditions create gemstones with exceptional color and clarity that you won't find anywhere else in the world.
Are your gemstones natural or treated?
All our gemstones are 100% natural and untreated. We believe in showcasing the raw beauty that nature has created over millions of years. Each stone comes with detailed information about its natural characteristics.
How do I know my gemstone is authentic?
Every gemstone comes with detailed origin information from our Wyoming mining operations. We provide certificates of authenticity and recommend third-party appraisals for high-value purchases. We guarantee the authenticity of every stone we sell.
Ordering & Shipping
How are gemstones packaged for shipping?
Each gemstone is carefully packaged in protective materials and shipped in secure boxes. High-value items require signature confirmation and may include insurance coverage.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. International orders may be subject to customs duties and taxes, which are the buyer's responsibility. Shipping costs and timeframes are calculated at checkout.
How long does shipping take?
Domestic shipping typically takes 3-7 business days. International shipping varies by destination, usually 7-21 business days. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout.
Returns & Exchanges
Can I return a gemstone if I'm not satisfied?
Yes! We offer a 30-day return policy. Items must be in original condition and packaging. Faceted-cut gemstones are final sale. Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility unless the item is defective.
What if my gemstone arrives damaged?
We take great care in packaging, but if your gemstone arrives damaged, contact us immediately at info@pinkmistyminerals.com. We'll arrange for return shipping and provide a full refund or replacement.
Gemstone Care
How should I care for my Wyoming gemstone?
Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners unless specifically recommended. Store separately to prevent scratching. Each gemstone comes with specific care instructions.
Can I have my gemstone custom cut? We do not facet our gemstones but work with local partners locally and throughout North America.
Our Mining Operation
Where exactly do you mine your gemstones?
We operate in the Wyoming Rocky Mountains, specifically in the ancient geological formations of the Wyoming Craton. Our family-owned operation focuses on ethical mining practices with minimal environmental impact.
What does 'ethically mined' mean?
Ethical mining means we use responsible practices that minimize environmental impact, support local communities, and maintain full transparency in our operations. We're a family-owned, female-led operation committed to sustainable practices.
Services
Do you offer gemstone consultation services?

Investment & Value
Are gemstones a good investment?
Rare gemstones, especially those from unique sources like Wyoming, can appreciate in value over time. However, gemstone investments carry inherent risks. We recommend purchasing stones you love first, investment potential second.
Do you provide appraisals?
We provide detailed information about each stone's characteristics and origin. For insurance or investment purposes, we recommend third-party certified appraisals from qualified gemologists.
